Photoderm Spot-Age SPF 50+.

the antioxidant-tinted daily.

Bioderma's pigment-prone tinted SPF: light tint, antioxidant trio, and a moderate UVA-PF that puts it a step behind the long-UVA leaders. A pleasant tinted daily — but not the photoprotection champion the marketing implies.

— § 01

The scorecard.

PPD ~28 is moderate. Falls behind UVMune / UV-Age Daily.

When to reach for it.

  • Light-pigment patients

Where iron oxides plus tint outweigh the moderate PPD.

  • Daily commute on lighter skin tones

Tint reads neutral on Type II-IV; cosmetic elegance is a strength.

  • Travel SPF

Compact 40 mL bottle, photostable EU filters. Reapply often.

— § 05

Frequently asked.

Is the tint enough for visible-light pigment?

Yes for incidental visible light. Iron oxides at the level used here meaningfully reduce visible-light induced pigmentation in melasma trials. For severe melasma, layer over a higher-PPD base SPF.

Does the bakuchiol do anything in a sunscreen?

Modest. Bakuchiol's antioxidant data is real but cosmetic-grade in this context — it adds, it doesn't replace.

How does it compare with UV-Age Daily?

UV-Age Daily wins on photoprotection (higher PPD + niacinamide 4%). Spot-Age wins on cosmetic finish (tint). Pick by which problem is louder for your skin.

Can I layer it over a vitamin C?

Yes — give the C 5 minutes to sink in. The tint sits on top neatly.
